4. Groupings and Start Times
2/3 ball groups. Start times self selected (as clause 3). Player responsibility under Rule 5.3 applies.
5. Returning of Results
Verify your score with your playing partner(s) and complete your own scorecard. Completed scorecards should be posted into the VISITOR GREEN FEE BOX just inside the entrance (NOT the white competition box in the lounge) during clubhouse opening hours, or posted through the letterbox out of hours.
In the event of a tied result for first place in the gross competition, the winner will be decided by a (stroke play) play-off over three holes (holes 1, 2 and 3). The play-off will start as soon as practicable after the last competitors have finished their round. The competitor with the lowest aggregate gross score over the three extra holes will be declared the winner. If the result is still tied, there will be a sudden death play-off using holes 1 – 3 until a winner is decided.
All ties in net competition and the Matt Leek / Bob Priddle Trophies will be decided by matching scorecards (card countback) based on the score for the last nine holes, last six holes, last three holes and finally the 18th hole. If there is still a tie, then the last six holes, three holes and final hole of the first nine holes will be considered in turn. If this process does not result in a winner, the order will be decided by the toss of a coin. Countback calculations will be made by the Competition Secretary as soon as practicable following the return of the scorecards.
